« LE CONCRET ET L'ABSTRAIT DANS LA PHONOLOGIE ET DANS LA PHONETIQUE DE SAUSSURE », par Sémir Badir

paru dans Cahiers Ferdinand de Saussure 65 (2012), p. 13–23

Abstract : Since concrete and abstract are opposite concepts alternately appraised by Saussure, we must find a way not to derive uncertain conclusions by some hesitation or, even worse, some contradiction in his thoughts. If we make an internal analysis, we can see that there are two approches connecting a concrete element to an abstract form: one for phonology, and another for phonetics. A broader exegesis, which will refer to Comte and Hegel, will allow us to specify the epistemological stake in the differentiation of these two conceptual paths.
