« SYSTÈME ET ORGANISATION: LA PENSÉE PRISE DANS LE LANGAGE », par Anne-Gaëlle Toutain
paru dans Cahiers Ferdinand de Saussure 67 (2014), p. 131–144
Abstract : This paper aims at demonstrating that the problematics of the relationships between language and cognition is not relevant from a Saussurean point of view, that is, more exactly, that any questioning of the relationship between language and cognition has been in advance invalidated by the Saussurean theory of language (langue) The difference between the two problematics is especially clear with the notion of structure, which is therefore the main subject of this paper. It considers successively the notion of value and the Saussurean elaboration of the notion of organization. Concerning the second point, it aims at showing how the distinction between "syntagmatic" and "associative", and the duality between "relative arbitrary" and "absolute arbitrary" make possible to account for the structuration which is constitutive of every language, in the frame of an elaboration inside the concept of value.
